How it works
Put it on their collar
Attach the tag to your dog's collar, then set up their profile in about a minute.
Add what matters
A photo, how finders can reach you, and notes like “nervous with other dogs” or “needs daily medication”.
Anyone can scan it
If your dog gets lost, whoever finds them scans the tag with their phone camera, sees the profile and contacts you straight away.
Why owners choose PetTag
Private by default
Your phone number and email stay hidden unless you choose to show them. Finders can always message you through the page.
Update it any time
Moved house or changed your number? Update the profile in seconds. No new tag needed.
Medical and behaviour notes
Tell finders about allergies or medication, or that your dog is nervous with strangers.
Lost mode
Switch it on and anyone who scans the tag sees your dog is missing. You're emailed when it's scanned.
No app, no batteries
Works with any modern phone camera. There's nothing to download and nothing to charge.
Pay once
From £10 with free UK delivery. No subscription, and the profile stays free for life.
UK law: what your dog's tag must show
When your dog is in a public place, the Control of Dogs Order 1992 says it must wear a collar with your name and address on it, or on a tag attached to it. That applies even if your dog is microchipped.
A QR code doesn't show your name and address on its own, so use your PetTag alongside an engraved tag or a collar with your details on. The QR tag adds what an engraved tag can't: a photo, up-to-date contact options and a way for finders to message you.

Questions
Does a QR tag replace my dog's engraved tag?+
No. In the UK your dog must wear your name and address on its collar or a tag when it's in public. A PetTag works alongside that, adding a photo, your contact options and lost mode.
What happens when someone scans my dog's tag?+
Your dog's profile opens in their phone's browser, with ways to contact you. They can send you a message with their location, even if you keep your number private.
Should my dog's name be on the tag?+
The law doesn't ask for it, and some owners prefer to leave it off an engraved tag. With a PetTag, your dog's name appears on the profile that finders see after scanning.
What if the tag gets lost?+
Order a replacement and move your dog's profile onto the new tag. All the details stay as they were.
How many tags do I need?+
One tag per dog is enough. A second is handy for a harness or a spare collar.
