When will my tags arrive?
We aim to post orders within 2 to 3 working days. Delivery is free in the UK and £2.00 everywhere else we post to. We'll email you when your order is on its way.
How big is the tag?
About 40 mm across (45 mm including the loop it hangs from) and 2.5 mm thick, and it weighs about 4 g, less than half the weight of a £1 coin. It's printed plastic with the QR code set into the face, in pink, blue, white or yellow, and comes with a split ring for the collar.
Does whoever finds my pet need an app?
No. Any modern iPhone or Android camera opens your pet's page. There's nothing to download.
Is it waterproof? Will the code wear off?
Rain, mud and puddles don't hurt it: it's solid printed plastic, and the black code is set into the face rather than printed on top, so there's nothing to wash off or rub away. The plastic picks up scuffs over time, like any tag, so scan yours now and then to check it still reads.
What if there's no phone signal where my pet is found?
The code holds your pet's web address, so the finder's phone needs signal or wi-fi to open the page. Somewhere with neither, it opens the moment they're back in range. It's one reason a dog's collar must also carry your name and address by law: that part needs nothing at all.
Does it work abroad?
Yes. Your pet's page opens on any phone with internet, wherever you are, and we post to the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and a few other countries. The page is in English.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once, and your pet's profile stays free for life.
Can I buy one as a present?
Yes. Tags arrive ready to set up, so whoever you give one to scans it with their phone, makes a free account and adds their own pet. You don't need an account to buy, and you can have the tags posted straight to them by putting their address in at checkout.
What if it's not right for me?
Tell us within 14 days of receiving your tags, post them back, and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.
Does it cover the UK law for dog tags?
Dogs in public must wear your name and address on their collar or a tag. A QR code doesn't show those on its own, so use your PetTag alongside an engraved tag or a collar with your details on.
